Pick a class to plan your build. Every tree is read straight from the WoW: Forever client data (build 1.60.1.70532), so the talents, ranks, row unlocks and tooltip numbers are the ones you will see in game, including all the new Forever talents such as Light's Vigil, Lone Wolf, Penance and Wild Growth.

How to use the calculator

Why our numbers can be trusted

Most early calculators were built from beta screenshots or from Classic data with edits. We read the talent system tables (trees, nodes, ranks, row gates and prerequisite links) and the spell tables directly from the live WoW: Forever client build and generate the calculator from them with a script. Tooltip numbers use the same per-rank values the game uses. When a tooltip depends on your character, such as a percentage of attack power, we show the formula rather than inventing a number.

We also compared the trees with the talent window screenshots in Blizzard's class deep dives. Trees such as the Paladin's match them row for row. A few, such as Priest Discipline, have moved a talent or two since those beta screenshots were taken in early October; in those cases the client data is the newer source (build of October 21), so the calculator follows the data. The one-point gold medal talents sit at 11, 16, 21 and 31 points in every tree, with one exception in the current data: Mage Arcane's 16-point slot holds a new talent, Arcane Wrath, that has no row requirement yet (see the Mage guide).
