Forever Guide is an independent, English-language fan guide to World of Warcraft: Forever, written by long-time WoW players for new and returning players. Our goal is simple: whatever stage of the game you are in, from choosing a class before launch to preparing for a new raid tier, you should be able to find an answer here that you can trust.

Who this guide is for

How we work

How we keep pages up to date

World of Warcraft: Forever is designed to grow through regular content patches: raids on December 9, Hardcore after launch, and more raids, dungeons and quests over time. When Blizzard announces a change, we update every page that mentions it and move the "last checked" date. Dates that move, such as release times, are kept in one place in our data so they cannot drift out of sync between pages.

Our tools

The talent calculator and Legacy perk planner are generated from the WoW: Forever client's data tables; the class picker, race and class finder, Legacy points tracker and time converters run on small, fixed data sets taken from Blizzard's posts. They run entirely in your browser. We list on the tools page which tools we are deliberately not building yet, and why.

What we will cover next

After launch on November 4 we will add leveling routes for both factions, guides to the four new zones, boss strategies for the nine new dungeons, profession leveling, and the December 9 raids. Each of these will follow the same rule as the rest of the site: we publish once we can confirm it in the live game, and we list where every fact came from.
