WoW: Forever adds nine new five-player dungeons between levels 13 and 60, in places players have wondered about for years: under Ironforge, inside Dalaran, on Alcaz Island and behind a sealed gate in Azshara. They sit alongside the original dungeons. Level ranges below are from Blizzard’s October 21 dungeon article. Some ranges circulating earlier in beta are different, so trust the official numbers.

Hall of Thanes (13–18)

The resting place of the dwarven kings deep below Ironforge has been broken into, probably by Dark Iron dwarves, and something has stirred in its halls. Alliance players reach the entrance easily from inside their capital. Horde groups have to travel into Alliance territory.
Ruins of Lordaeron (15–20)

The Forsaken are trying to reclaim the ruins above the Undercity, but the Scourge haunt them and a necromancer is gathering power. Horde players can reach it easily from the Undercity; Alliance groups must go into Horde territory. Together with Hall of Thanes, this gives each faction a low-level dungeon right next to one of its capitals.
Excavation Site (24–29)

Near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz in the Wetlands, a strange mist drifts down from the mountains above Whelgar’s Excavation. Past the dig lies a place frozen in time, with stray titan constructs and dangerous wildlife.
City of Dalaran (28–33)

The barrier hiding Dalaran’s restoration has fallen and the city is full of misfiring enchantments and runaway constructs. You need the Kirin Tor’s trust first: an attunement questline. Groups enter through the sewers and can choose between several paths and encounters on the way to the final fight.
- Alliance: start with “An Alarming Request” from Emissary Jacques in Southshore.
- Horde: start with “Key to the City” and “Prison Break-In” from Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill.
The Drowned City (35–40)

Troll ruins have risen out of the sea west of Grom’gol. Trolls and naga roam the streets near a wrecked pirate ship. You dive underwater to find the entrance, and the open-air dungeon’s weather builds from mist into a full storm before the last boss.
Krol’dok Stronghold (40–45)

Ogre raiders have been kidnapping travelers across the new Riverglades zone. Their sprawling fortress has workshops, camps and guarded interior passages, and strange chanting comes from it at night.
Alcaz Prison (48–53)

The prison on Alcaz Island, long rumored to hold high-ranking prisoners including King Varian Wrynn, finally opens. Inside, the Defias Brotherhood and naga are fighting each other.
Blackmaw Hold (55–60)

A great furbolg city behind a long-sealed gate in Azshara, where the Blackmaw clan fights a corruption spreading through its groves and tunnels. Blizzard calls it a substantial max-level dungeon with multiple routes and bosses, and hints that its depths lead even farther below. Blackmaw Hold is also one of the entrances to the Barrow Deeps raid.
Shaper’s Terrace (58–60)

An ancient titan facility in the northern hills of Un’Goro Crater. Collect power crystals around Un’Goro and use them at consoles inside the dungeon, which links the outdoor zone to the challenges inside.
Dungeons and Legacy Points
Three Legacy Challenges reward dungeon running: defeat the final boss of all dungeons in the level 15–25, 26–45 and 46–60 brackets. Blizzard has not published the exact list of dungeons in each bracket, so we will add a checklist once it can be confirmed in game.
Loot changes in every dungeon
- Every dungeon drop was re-examined; hundreds of new drops were added.
- Unique dungeon boss items are now blue quality, and dungeon set bonuses were improved.
- When a bind-on-pickup green or blue item drops, its appearance goes to every eligible looter, so nobody needs to roll just to collect the look.
- Some dungeon bosses drop Blueprint recipes for advanced camp features.
What is not confirmed yet
- Boss lists and loot tables for the new dungeons. We will publish them only after checking them in the live game.
- Level ranges could still be adjusted after launch; we will follow Blizzard’s posts.
