Every tool on this site runs on data Blizzard has published or on the game client's own data tables. None of them guesses at numbers that have not been announced. When the game launches and more data can be verified, we will add more tools here.
Tools we are not building yet, and why
- Leveling time and experience calculators. Experience numbers have not been announced, and Forever adds rested experience perks and food that grants bonus experience.
- Profession leveling calculators. Forever adds more than 600 new recipes, so Classic profession guides no longer apply.
If you are waiting for one of these, check back after launch on November 4. We will list each new tool here and on the home page.
Which tool should you use?
- Before name reservation (October 27): use the class picker and the race and class finder to settle your faction, race and class, then check the reservation start time for your region.
- Launch week: keep the launch time converter open to know exactly when the servers open where you live.
- While leveling and beyond: the Legacy points tracker shows how close you are to the 16-point cap on each character and which challenges are left.
Accuracy and updates
When Blizzard changes a fact a tool relies on, such as adding a new race and class combination or new Legacy Challenges in a content patch, we update the shared data file and every tool and page that uses it changes together. If you find a result that does not match the game, tell us through the About page and we will check it against the latest official post.
How our tools use data
Each tool is a small script that runs in your browser on a fixed, published data set: the talent and Legacy trees from the WoW: Forever client data (build 1.60.1.70532), the race and class tables from Blizzard's "Create the Hero" article, the role and toolkit summaries from the class deep dives, the Legacy Challenge list from the Legacy System article and the official times from launch and name reservation posts. The source for each is listed at the bottom of the tool's page. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere; the Legacy tracker only saves your ticks in your own browser.
