WoW Forever Engineering Guide

Engineers build explosives, guns, scopes, goggles, fireworks and gadgets, and in Forever they also build the Reagent Bot that lets a whole campsite buy reagents. This page lists all 240 engineering recipes in the WoW: Forever game client: 165 you may know from Classic and 75 new to Forever. For each one you get its skill-up colours, the exact materials and, where the client has one, the schematic that teaches it. The data comes from the client itself (build 1.60.1.70532, October 21, 2026), not from Classic guides. Jump to the searchable recipe list.

How to read the skill-up colours

Like every WoW profession, a recipe's colour tells you how likely it is to raise your skill. The numbers in the Skill-ups column are the skill at which it turns yellow, green and grey. Before the yellow number the recipe is orange and always gives a point; at grey it gives none. Yellow and grey come straight from the client; green is halfway between them, rounded down, which matches known Classic recipes such as Bolt of Linen Cloth (25, 37, 50). When a recipe is taught by a schematic, the orange number is the skill the schematic requires.

Engineering camp objects

Every profession in Forever has three camp objects you can add to a Basic Campfire. Blizzard says the first is learned at skill 20 and the ones at 140 and above come from Blueprint drops in dungeons and raids. The engineering ones in the client are:

• Reagent Bot, yellow at skill 20
• Repair Bot, yellow at skill 140
• Anarchist's Workbench, yellow at skill 300

Workstations and tools

Some recipes can only be made next to a workstation or with a tool in your bags. The client lists these for engineering; each recipe's needs are also shown under its materials below. Names in bold are Forever camp objects, so in Forever a campsite can double as a crafting station.

New engineering recipes in WoW Forever

Forever's new engineering recipes are mostly two new product lines, SAF-T and EZ-Thro: safer dynamite and bombs at every tier from Copper to Dark Iron, the parts that go into them, satchels of bombs for the ranged slot, and late consumables such as the EZ-Thro Field Transporter to Gadgetzan and the SAF-T Emergency Ripper to Everlook. There are also three tiers of coloured rockets, one set of goggles per armor type at skill 205, and new gadgets such as the Gnomish Army Knife, Loot-A-Rang and Ultralight Goblin Glider. Blizzard says Forever adds more than 600 new recipes across professions; 75 of them are engineering.

Recipes listed above 300 keep their Classic-style colour ranges: some stay orange or yellow at the 300 cap and never turn grey. Blizzard's Legacy profession challenges stop at skill 300.

Leveling engineering 1–300 in Forever

We are not publishing a step-by-step leveling route yet. A route has to know which recipes trainers sell, what they cost and where the new schematics drop, and that information lives on Blizzard's servers, not in the client. We will add a tested route after launch on November 4. Until then, the tables above show what turns grey when, so you can always pick a recipe that is still orange or yellow for your skill.

The client still contains the Gnomish Engineer and Goblin Engineer specialization spells. Whether specializations work as they did in Classic, and which recipes need one, is not in the recipe data, so we do not mark them yet.

What is not confirmed yet

• Where each schematic drops or is sold, and what trainers charge. Not in the client data.
• That every recipe in the client can be learned at launch. We removed 28 Season of Discovery recipes and 8 recipes whose crafted item is not in the client yet, but Blizzard can still disable others.
• Whether you can use a camp workstation another player placed. Blizzard has not said.
