WoW Forever Alchemy Recipes Guide

Alchemists brew potions, elixirs, flasks and oils, transmute metals, and in Forever they also build the Mana Well camp feature and, later, the Fermenter and Alchemy Laboratory. This page lists all 179 alchemy recipes in the WoW: Forever game client: 109 you may know from Classic and 70 new to Forever. For each one you get its skill-up colours, the exact materials and, where the client has one, the recipe that teaches it. The data comes from the client itself (build 1.60.1.70532, October 21, 2026), not from Classic guides. Jump to the searchable recipe list.

How to read the skill-up colours

Like every WoW profession, a recipe's colour tells you how likely it is to raise your skill. The numbers in the Skill-ups column are the skill at which it turns yellow, green and grey. Before the yellow number the recipe is orange and always gives a point; at grey it gives none. Yellow and grey come straight from the client; green is halfway between them, rounded down, which matches known Classic recipes such as Bolt of Linen Cloth (25, 37, 50). When a recipe is taught by a recipe, the orange number is the skill the recipe requires.

Alchemy camp objects

Every profession in Forever has three camp objects you can add to a Basic Campfire. Blizzard says the first is learned at skill 20 and the ones at 140 and above come from Blueprint drops in dungeons and raids. The alchemy ones in the client are:

Mana Well, yellow at skill 20
Fermenter, yellow at skill 140
Alchemy Laboratory, yellow at skill 300

Workstations and tools

Some recipes can only be made next to a workstation or with a tool in your bags. The client lists these for alchemy; each recipe's needs are also shown under its materials below. Names in bold are Forever camp objects, so in Forever a campsite can double as a crafting station.

Workstation or tool	Recipes that need it	Of which new in Forever
Philosopher's Stone	15	1
Alchemy Lab	10	4
Fermenter	5	1

Healing potions moved. The alchemy skill table still has entries for the spell IDs of the Classic Healing Potion recipes, Minor through Major, but those spells are gone from the client, and Minor through Major Healing Potion now appear as First Aid recipes instead (see the First Aid guide). Alchemists keep a separate line of Discolored Healing Potions in six ranks from Minor (yellow at skill 55) to Major (290); the Minor one sits on an older recipe ID, the other five are new.

See the WoW Forever first aid guide for the Healing Potion recipes.

New alchemy recipes in WoW Forever

Forever's new alchemy recipes add whole new potion and elixir lines at several ranks: Mender's, Spellblasting and Frenzy potions from Minor to Superior (Mender's goes up to Major), Cleric's and Mageblood elixirs, new Spirit, Intellect, Fortitude and Strength elixirs, and four Flasks of Natural Accuracy, Aggression, Precision and Swiftness at 320. There are also new dyes (Cerulean, Magenta, Viridian) that other professions use, situational potions such as Potion of Beast Slaying and Potion of Elemental Purging, and Transmute: Legionite. Blizzard says Forever adds more than 600 new recipes across professions; 70 of them are alchemy.

Leveling alchemy 1–300 in Forever

We are not publishing a step-by-step leveling route yet. A route has to know which recipes trainers sell, what they cost and where the new recipes drop, and that information lives on Blizzard's servers, not in the client. We will add a tested route after launch on November 4. Until then, the tables above show what turns grey when, so you can always pick a recipe that is still orange or yellow for your skill.

What is not confirmed yet

Where each recipe drops or is sold, and what trainers charge. Not in the client data.
That every recipe in the client can be learned at launch. We removed 15 Season of Discovery recipes and 10 recipes whose crafted item is not in the client yet, but Blizzard can still disable others.
Whether you can use a camp workstation another player placed. Blizzard has not said.
