WoW Forever Zones and Map

The four new zones, what is in each one, and every zone on the map.

WoW: Forever takes place in original Azeroth: the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, with 43 zones across the two continents, plus Zephras Isle in the sky. Four zones are new: Zephras Isle, the Skyborne starting island for levels 1–12; the Riverglades frontier for the mid-30s to mid-40s; Mount Hyjal, recovering after Archimonde's defeat; and Shen'dralas, between Mulgore and Desolace. More than 1,000 new quests are spread across the whole level 1–60 journey, so the old zones change too. There are no flying mounts and no level scaling.

Zephras Isle (levels 1–12)

Zephras Isle is the home of the Skyborne, the new playable elven race, and their starting zone from level 1 to 12. The wind spirits that protected the island have vanished, its ancient structures are failing and its communities are cut off from each other. The art mixes classic Warcraft with elemental architecture inspired by Skywall. You choose a side at character creation: the Windshaper Horde or the High Order Alliance. Playing a Skyborne and the Zephras Isle questline need the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition.

Places on Zephras Isle: Thendal Grove and Thendal Village, Shen'dar Highlands and Shen'dar Village, Valanaar and the Valanaar Skydocks, Windsong Lake, Gustberry Lowlands, Shadowgale Forest, Rohashi Spires, Falaath Village, Windfield Orchard, the Sanctum of Storms, the Shrine of Akir, Nightclaw Cavern, the Ruins of Ban'aethal and Skywall.

Riverglades (mid-30s to mid-40s)

The Riverglades is a rugged frontier in the Eastern Kingdoms: rivers, grasslands, trade routes, struggling communities and old grudges. It holds more than 150 new quests covering much of the mid-30s to mid-40s. Ogre raiders from Krol'dok Stronghold have been kidnapping travelers across the zone, and their fortress is a new dungeon for levels 40–45.

Mount Hyjal

Mount Hyjal is a full zone in Forever, set in the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat. You journey through Darkwhisper Gorge and help shape the future of a land that is still recovering. The mountain is also home to two raids that unlock on December 9: Hyjal Summit for 20 players and The Barrow Deeps for 10, the old prison beneath Kalimdor with entrances through Mount Hyjal, Winterspring and Blackmaw Hold. Details are on the raids page.

Shen'dralas (level 35+)

Shen'dralas lies between Mulgore and Desolace. Its long-hidden mystery ties together the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes. The new Gelkis and Magram questline starts with "Valley of Bones" and needs level 35.
